Why I self-host my own tools
Cloud services are convenient until they aren't: pricing changes, features disappear, data gets mined. Running a small VPS with open-source tools covers 90% of my needs — dashboards, file sync, a private DNS resolver — for a few dollars a month and an afternoon of setup.
